FAQ
Applying to Swift: what to expect.
How soon will I hear back?
Within one business day. We call or email to set up a quick interview. If we can't place you right away, we'll tell you honestly.
Do I need experience?
Not for general labour. For sanitation technician and skilled-trades roles we prefer some prior experience, but we'll still interview newcomers who learn fast.
How often do I get paid?
Weekly, direct deposit. You get a paystub every Friday covering the previous week's shifts.
Do I need my own transportation?
Very helpful but not always required. We'll consider your location when matching you to sites. Some clients are transit-accessible, some aren't.
What training do you provide?
WHMIS 2015 is standard for every new hire. Role-specific training (food-safety orientation, cannabis facility protocols, PPE for sanitation chemicals) comes on top. Training hours are paid.
Can I eventually become a full-time employee of a client?
Often, yes. Many of our long-term workers transition to direct hires with clients. We don't block those moves. We're glad to see them happen.
